Stable Doors: Sizes

This is for the size in Millimetres (mm) that you would like the door manufactured to. This size is to include any Cill and will be manufactured to tolerances of 2-3mm. Please ensure the sizes provided are not tight brickwork opening sizes as your new door may not fit, always allow a tolerance of about minus 10mm in the width and minus 10mm in the height. (Reduce size further if your opening is not square, out of level or has protruding bricks as your new door must be installed square, level and plumb).

Assumptions:

1. Doors and a single side panel - the door will be set at 900mm (assumed width of door will alter to 900mm or minimum size allowed for door panel if chosen and no other size given) measured from the outside edge of the frame to the centre of the mullion (vertical bar) or in case of low threshold, edge of door frame to edge of door frame (see points 4 & 5).
   
   
2. Door and two side panels - the door will be set at 900mm (assumed width of door will alter to 900mm or minimum size allowed for door panel if chosen and no other size given) measured from the centre of the mullion to centre of mullion (two vertical bars that separate the main door and side panels) or in case of low threshold edge of door frame to edge of door frame (see points 4 & 5).
   
   
3. Door midrail (if applicable) will always be set at 850mm from the bottom of the door frame or low threshold to the middle of the midrail (horizontal bar).
   
   

4. If a low threshold is required on the door - no cill can be supplied. Please select no cill option.

5. If a low threshold is required on the door that is having side panel (s) the door and side panel (s) will be made as separate units. If a low threshold is not specified then in the majority of cases doors and side panels will come as one unit.
   
   
6. If the door and / or side panel (s) has a fixed pane above - the fixed pane will be set at 2100mm from the bottom of the outer frame / low threshold to the centre of the transom (horizontal bar). If the overall height of the door frame including the fixed light above is too short for a 2100mm dimension, we will reduce this dimension accordingly.
   
   

7. Georgian bar, diamond and rectangular lead will be laid out according to our best practise.
